Networking tools

Each Delnet participant constitutes one point on a great network working together for local development.

In a world that is becoming more and more closely inter-related, it is now essential to know how development policies are designed and implemented in other places in order to learn from their successes and mistakes, exchange ideas and opinions on factors that affect development within a territory and establish decentralised cooperation networks.

Delnet actively encourages networking between participants:

• Motivating dialogue between local actors throughout the world.
• Facilitating the exchange of experiences and opinions.
• Interconnecting people and institutions committed to local development

Delnet makes available the following tools to participants in order to achieve these objectives:

• Delnetlist: An electronic distribution list that opens a communication channel between the entire Delnet Programme Network, made up of all active participants and former participants for the purpose of discussing and exchanging information and experiences.
• Virtual Campus: Work and study space within which participants can share the learning process with the rest of the group and circulate documents, news and experiences.
  

The Delnet network currently includes more than 2500 people and institutions in 75 countries throughout five continents.
